Solid 14K & 18K Gold Only
Most popular gold alloys for true luxury fine jewelry. 14K contains 58.5% pure gold and is alloyed with other metals to improve durability. 18K contains 75% pure gold. Both are more durable and affordable than pure gold.
Solid 925 Sterling Silver Only
A popular silver alloy containing at least 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% other metals. Sterling silver is durable and keeps its shine with polishing.
Gold Vermeil
A premium form of gold plating where a 2.5 micron or greater layer of at least 10K gold is applied to 100% solid sterling silver. Aequa & Co. premium vermeil is 3 microns thick using 18K yellow gold.
No Gold Plating, Ever.
Cheap gold jewelry that can cause allergic reactions, skin irritation or staining. A layer of <0.5 microns of low-karat gold is applied over base metal, usually brass or copper.
