Gold Vermeil
A premium form of gold plating where a 2.5 micron or greater layer of at least 10K gold is applied to 100% solid sterling silver. Aequa & Co. premium vermeil is 3 microns thick using 18K yellow gold.
No Gold Plating, Ever.
Cheap gold jewelry that can cause allergic reactions, skin irritation or staining. A layer of <0.5 microns of low-karat gold is applied over base metal, usually brass or copper.
